Grand lake fishing report April 15th 2019

We absolutely slayed the crappie this weekend. The crappie where staging under docks in 10 to 15 ft of water. Water was 57 degrees on the south end of the lake, 60 degrees in the mid lake area, and 60+ on the north part of the lake. Here is a picture of what they looked like on LiveScope.

All we had to do was shoot the docks using a Bobby Garland slab slayer (keylime pie, chartreuse, black and pink) and they nailed it. We also vertical jigged for them as well. The crappie should be moving to the banks to spawn when the water hits 65+. Watch the water temp in your area to catch the spawning crappie. Until then, you should be able to continue catching them under docks in 10- 15 ft of water.
